UNIRPIH Honors Lawyer Andalalas Mertilus for His Civic Engagement

Boston, Massachusetts — As part of its mission to highlight Haitian talent and promote civic engagement, the International Unit for the Strengthening and Promotion of Haitian Institutions (UNIRPIH) awarded a plaque of honor to young Haitian lawyer Andalalas Mertilus during his visit to the state of Massachusetts, USA.

A Deep Commitment to Youth and Politics

Attorney Mertilus has stood out through his active involvement in mobilizing youth around key issues such as good governance, institutional reconstruction, and above all, conscious and constructive political participation in Haiti.

“We need young people who not only understand politics but who want to use their knowledge to change the country,” emphasized a UNIRPIH representative during the ceremony.

Through this symbolic act, UNIRPIH aims to encourage all young Haitian professionals to become more involved in civic and institutional life, while promoting values of integrity, dialogue, and social transformation.
