Book and School Kit Distribution in Môle Saint-Nicolas
On April 15, 2020, the UNIRPIH (International Unit for the Strengthening and Promotion of Haitian Institutions) carried out a major educational initiative in the commune of Môle Saint-Nicolas, located in the Northwest department of Haiti.
In a context marked by numerous educational challenges, this action aimed to strengthen children’s academic capacities and reaffirm the central role of education in the organization’s sustainable development mission.
A Targeted Distribution to Promote Educational Equity
During this event, UNIRPIH distributed:
-
Educational books adapted to the school level of the beneficiaries,
-
Complete school kits (notebooks, pens, bags, pencils, erasers, rulers, etc.),
-
And motivational messages to encourage school perseverance among youth.
This initiative reached several dozen children from vulnerable families, strengthening their access to the tools needed to pursue their education with dignity.
Education: A Cornerstone of Change
In his message, a local UNIRPIH representative stated:
“Education is the most powerful weapon we can offer our children. By giving them books and school supplies, we are also giving them the right to dream and to build the future of our country.”
This effort is part of UNIRPIH’s “Education for All” program, which aims to:
-
Support access to education in rural areas,
-
Promote equal opportunities for all children,
-
And build a more educated, equitable, and resilient Haitian society.
This activity strengthens UNIRPIH’s presence on the ground and demonstrates its concrete and compassionate commitment to the younger generations of Haiti.
